Doughnut Time have made a Nutella-filled Pokemon doughnut because that’s how trends work

Doughnut Time seem to be working hard to constantly bring us a stream of new and exciting creations, and they aren’t above dipping their toes in current gaming trends for inspiration. Just recently they played around with world politics to introduce a limited edition Donald Trump doughnut at their Australian stores; now, with the Pokemon Go craze buzzing around the world, the famed doughnut brand have created the limited edition I Pika Choose You”.

Available from select Doughnut Time stores around Brisbane, Queensland, Sydney, and Melbourne from this Friday 14th July, the pokeball doughnuts will be marked distinctively with the design of the iconic entry-level pokeballs, and filled with layers of thick gooey Nutella – or maybe a Dugtrio that has been been liquified by Professor Willow (hey, no one knows what happens to them once you ‘transfer’ them on back to that creepy scientist).

There’s no official word on just how long these Pika-nuts will be available but you can head to Doughnut Time’s Facebook for any updates. The following stores will have them available: Southbank, East Brisbane, Mermaid Beach, Central Park, QVB and Degraves Street. We can only hope that Doughnut Time will be kind enough to bring a few to their Splendour in the Grass pop up.
