Anna Polyviou has opened a gingerbread dessert pop-up at Shangri-La Sydney

Renowned Punk Princess of Pastry Anna Polyviou will be helping Sydney’s lush Shangri-La Hotel, at which she has long been an Executive Pastry Chef, charge into the holiday season with a special pop-up store which will be marked by an enormous four metre gingerbread train out the front, combining 2,000 kilos of gingerbread bricks, 500 kilos of lollies, 100 kilos of fondant, 200 lollipops and liber lashings of icing. One of the country’s most renowned pastry chefs Anna Polyviou stirred up a recent episode of MasterChef Australia with one of the most curious desserts the reality show has seen, sparking contestants with a challenge to recreate her playful Firecracker dessert.
