BWS are now stocking seven different wines in a can

With wine on a tap fast becoming a norm for modern bars across the country it was only a matter of time before we got some wine tinnies on the shelves, taking one of the most refined drinking experiences interpreted through ‘Strayan culture. BWS have now launched a huge variety of wine-in-a-can with the good sense to appeal to a wide range of tastes with various whites, red and rose varieties, moving away from the common frustrations of broken bottles and lost screw tops with some pretty sweet illustrations to boot.

A total of seven wines have been made available in these cans, which are priced from $5 to $8 each in both singles and four packs of 250ml. What’s more is that thanks to advanced technology, each can comes with a shelf life of around two years so you can still make use of that ol’ wine cellar.

Don’t worry if there’s no BWS nearby (or if you just cbf walking) because the cans are also available via BWS Express Delivery.

The full range is as follows, with supplied descriptions from BWS:

Crafters Union Hawke’s Bay Rose: “Crafters Union rose is wonderfully fruity featuring notes of strawberry, plum and watermelon, with a classically delicate finish.”

Crafters Union Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc: “This wine brings the best of the Marlborough amplified. The palate is bursting with tropical fruit and juicy acidity. Crisp and utterly delicious. Enjoy from the can now! Best paired with seafood.”

Crafters Union Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris: “With sweet aromas of Nashi pears, spices and nectarine, and classic citrus and melon notes, this is a must try for any wine lover.”

Le Chat M Pierre Rose (France): “This Rose; is made with grapes from the south of France. Pale in colour with a light and delicate palate of berry and candy flavours, which are balanced against more savoury tones to create complexity”.

Hootenanny Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc: “Hootenanny Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is pale in colour with the trademark Marlborough scent. Flavours of lime, citrus and passionfruit are accompanied by a dry finish. Enjoy the same great taste and aromas from the can as you would in the 750mL bottle”.

Elephant in the Room Chardonnay: “Bold tastes of peach and melon are present with a fresh, acidic finish. With the same great taste as the 750ml bottle, now you can enjoy this wine in a can for real convenience”.

Mascareri Prosecco (Italy): “This wine has scents of apple, pear & melon – lots of fruit flavours on the palate for a natural sweetness”.

The above wines in a can are available exclusively from BWS stores across Australia.
