Bundaberg Rum Solera is back on shelves after being named Best Dark Rum in the World earlier this year

After selling out in a matter of the days when it was first released in October of last year, the multi award-winning Bundaberg Rum Solera is back. Australia’s famed Bundaberg Distilling Company announced earlier this month that they have heard the waves of demand both nationally and abroad, lifting the cover on the anticipated second release of the expression, which has picked up a number of international awards including Best Dark Rum in the World at the 2017 World Drinks Awards in London and a Gold Medal at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

A modern expression of premium rum, Solera uses a fractional maturation and blending process that results in a unique flavour profile, bringing in notes of vanilla, fruitcake and butterscotch, balanced to present an endearing, layered palate that greatly represents its time spent in a selection of rich port, full-bodied bourbon and sweet sherry barrels.

“We’re incredibly proud of Bundaberg Rum Solera and the international recognition it has received”, said Senior Brand Manager at Bundaberg Rum, Duncan Littler. “Ever since the first release sold out last year, the Distillery has received a host of enquiries from rum lovers and drinks enthusiasts wanting to get hold of a bottle”.

We expect these will be snatched up just as fast as the first release so make sure you in quick; the batch went on sale from Monday 17th July. Bundaberg Rum Solera (40% ABV) is being sold by 700ml bottle at an RRP of $179.99. For more information head to the official website HERE.
