As they continue to grow, the ever-popular Zeus Street Greek have announced that their latest expansion will include a store in Westfield Sydney’s curated food court. The new store will be a small format offering from the Greek street food purveyors, featuring a concise menu that serves up their most popular eats and drinks, designed around a new bespoke souvla machine which they will be debuting when the store opens on Monday 18th July.
This souvla machine will allow the kitchen to cook high quality meat over volcanic rock, resulting in tender, caramelised meat that will be used in pitas, nudes, and spartan boxes. Pitas will include the Uncle Tzimmy, which features slow-cooked chicken, pork, or lamb with tomato, tzatziki, onion, paprika, and chips, while the Zeus Spartan Box – Zeus signature chicken, pork, or lamb served with Aegean slaw, tzatziki, and pilaf – will be a big focus for the new store. These will be served up in addition to range of salads and sides, including the stand-out Feta & Oregano Chips (chips topped with crumbled feta and seasoned with oregano) and Saganaki Salad, which features cos, radish, chickpea, and kefalograviera wafers dressed in tahini.
The opening date is most notable for Sydneysiders because to celebrate the expansion Zeus Street Greek will be hosting a “Zeus Free Feed” on Monday 18th July between 12pm and 2pm, featuring a selection of complimentary pitas and spartan boxes to give away. Since they’re feeling charitable, the team will also be donating $2 for each meal handed out to the Refugee Council of Australia.
