Wings of Glory announce plans to expand their buffalo wing empire this year (Melbourne)

To all the lovers of chicken and beer, Wings of Glory, the popular Melbourne diner which first opened last year is expanding and re-positioning their spot in the local scene. Using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, this Clarendon Street eatery has been regularly attracting masses with their American style Chicken Buffalo Wings and craft beer options, a combo that has been hard to come by in Melbourne according to chef and owner, Steven Lo.

“U.S themed venues have become very popular in Melbourne, but traditional Buffalo wings with beer isn’t something that is easy to find”, explained Lo. “We’ve worked hard over the past year to perfect our flavours and give it a Melbourne Twist.”

“Using locally-sourced ingredients is important to us, as well as catering to different dietary requirements with our gluten-free and vegan fishes”, continued the owner. “We’re looking forwarding to opening another venue in an even bigger space so we can continue to keep adding delicious flavour”

And for those new flavours, Wings of Glory have just introduced exciting flavours like Bees Knees Lemon and Cajun Cho, and their two most recent ones, Chili Fla-Mango with its spicy yet fruity hints, and Smokin’ Gun BBQ. However, it isn’t just the meat-eaters who can enjoy these quirky flavours. Diners can also expect a wide selection of gluten-free options, as well as those aforementioned vegan wings made from seitan.

Of course we expect this menu to expand when they open their second joint later on this year, but for now we’re quite contented knowing there’s a spot we can stuff our faces full of different buffalo wings and follow it up with an toasted brioche hot dog packed with vanilla ice cream and a choice of Oreo’s, honeycomb or strawberry.

For the craft beer enthusiasts, Wings of Glory offer Moorabbin’s Two Brothers, as well as Ballarat’s O’Brien Beer, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale from California, and quite a few more.
