UberEATS has now launched in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth

As of today, Uber’s food delivery service UberEATS has officially spread throughout Australia. After launching in Melbourne earlier this year, and Sydney a few months later, UberEATS emerged as a fierce competitor on the local food delivery circuit, providing a service powered by and connected to Uber’s official smartphone app that allows users to order food and drink from some of the best restaurants in that city for an estimated delivery time of 10 minutes of less. It has proven to be a popular method of exploring each city’s rich food scenes, with the convenience that has made Uber a household name over the years.

Now those in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth are able to log in and start using the service, benefiting both a hungry public and local businesses looking to increase their reach. While an exact list for each city is yet to be released, it’s looking like Adelaide’s UberEATS will have the likes of Burger Theory, Blackwood Bistro, Ginza Miyako and Osteria Oggi available; Brisbane’s highly regarded Esquire is using the service along with Saké Restaurant and Ben’s Burgers; and Perth users can order from restaurants like David Thompson’s famed Long Chim, Old Faithful Bar & BBQ, Brika and ChiCho Gelato.

Earlier this year Uber Australia and New Zealand General Manager David Rohrsheim told Fairfax that some Melbourne businesses had already reported increased sales by 20-25% in just a few months after joining the app.

So far UberEATS’ Australian expansion has proved most successful in Melbourne, bringing the world’s most livable city into the fold as one of the top 5 most popular cities for the service, along with Toronto, London, Los Angeles, and San Fransisco. In fact, the #1 menu item ordered through UberEATS globally is the Mr Papadolous greek wrap from Jimmy Grants.

As was the case with Sydney and Melbourne, those living in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth should see the available UberEATS menus increase rapidly over the next few weeks, with an undoubtedly strong initial lineup. To access UberEATS just log-in to the Uber smartphone app. More information can be found HERE.
