The Regent Kingsford reopens following refurbishment (Sydney)

Revealed just a few weeks out, Kingsford favourite The Regent has thrown open their doors to the public following an extensive makeover that has seen changes to both the interior and the pub’s food and bev offerings. The popular student haunt now sports a restored heritage ceiling and a design that has gone street-level with vintage posters, records and neon-lit walls, one of which is a huge letter ‘R’ that has been salvaged from an old Toys ‘R’ Us sign.

Sports fans are catered to with brand new screens throughout the venue, but the biggest changes have been to the drinks and food menus, shifting the focus to massive 15″ New York-style pizza served both whole (for $20) and by-the-slice (from $5) with a range of quality ingredients and classic combinations. Expect the likes of Spicy Italian Sausage, Mushroom, Olive & Ham, and Roast Pineapple with jalapeno.

As far as drinks go, the bar team have worked up a higher standard to their beer and wine lists, as well as introducing signature slushies which are made on-site with the venue’s own slushie machine. Slushies features will be trends such as Frosé and Salted Caramel Espresso Martini.
