The best of South Brisbane’s live music, foodie and bar scenes announced for Fish Lane Festival

Take a swim down Fish Lane and plunge into South Brisbane’s celebration of gourmet grub and beverages, live music and dance. On Saturday 7 May, the iconic laneway hidden between Merivale and Grey Street will be electrified with a collision of culinary pop-ups, bars, and two stages showcasing Brissy’s local emerging musos.

Foreign foodies Madame Wu, Birds Nest Akitori & Bar, Billykart West End and Habitat will be uniting with residents of Fish Lane, Gauge, Maker, Julius Pizzeria, The Fozx Hotel, Fish lane Bistro and Saccharaomyces Beer Café to dish out gourmet food, creative cocktails, craft beer and wine whilst you kick back with friends, to live local music.

But leave room for dessert, because taking a trip up the coast is Sydney’s cult classic ice creamery, Gelato Messina. The soon-to-be Fish Lane dwellers will be moving in momentarily to conjure up legendary creative quirky ice cream combos exclusively for the Fish Lane Festival.

The free, all-ages festival, presented by Aria Property Group and The Fox Hotel will run from Midday to 10 pm, Saturday 7 May.
