The Annandale Hotel is hosting a food festival this weekend (Sydney)

Now that the very in-demand Burgers by Josh pop-up at The Annandale Hotel has come to an end, the inner-west institution is looking to further their string of temporary culinary expansions with a weekend food festival featuring beats, burgers, and booze. The inaugural event will be taking place this coming weekend on Saturday and Sunday with some of the venue’s tried and tested favourites coming on board to help get this party started.

Kitchen takeovers seem to be a good direction for The Annandale, which first rose to prominence as one of Sydney’s most defining live music venues. In continuing the venue’s connection to live music, the crew behind the venue have teamed up with Sound Benefit to kick off this Friday night with a program of blues to help raise funds for Cerebral Palsy Alliance, with tickets available via Moshtix.

Following that, 2011 MKR winner Sammy Jakubiak will be setting up a spin-off of her famed burger bar with an exclusive brunch edition available all day across Saturday and Sunday, alongside Bush Burgers, who are bringing their popular Double Cheese Burger to the courtyard from 3pm both days. The venue’s smoker will also be pumping out the goodness.

Annandale’s boozy brunch menu will also be featuring spiked juices, bloody mary’s, and mimosas to pair up with the above eats, sountracked first by Lepers & Crooks on Saturday and then Dom Diaz on the Sunday.
