From “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here” and “Sentimental” to “Absolutely Not”, 90’s R&B star Deborah Cox has grown from a dominating force in R&B and pop to an icon for clubs around the world, having seen her music embraced so widely and passionately; so her being added to the official Mardi Gras after party comes as huge news. Cox joins the likes of Eurovision darling Conchita Wurst and Global Ambassador Courtney Act on a line-up that will shape the big 10-hour party that follows the legendary Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras parade on Saturday 5th March.
Cox was last here for Mardi Gras in 2002 where dazzled partygoers with a live show in the same venue she is returning to 14 years later, the Royal Hall of Industries. The singer will be adding to a list of high-energy performances backed by spectacular stage productions to once again make Sydney’s Mardi Gras after party the largest gay and lesbian party in the Southern Hemisphere.
