Salt Meats Cheese are now offering pasta cooked in giant flaming cheese wheels at Broadway (Sydney)

Now that the crew at Salt Meats Cheese have settled into the groove made by their new store opposite Broadway Shopping Centre, it’s time for them to kick up their menu offerings with a big, flaming wheel of cheese.

Salt Meats Cheese Broadway have introduced The Flaming Cheese Wheel to its menu – already full of different types of cheeses, pastas, burgers, and nutella desserts – following a hugely successful launch event which saw the team serve up hot cheesy truffle pasta directly from the wheel.

Every Wednesday night from 25th May the public will be able to purchase, for $25 per head, fresh Strozzapreti pasta straight out of a huge Parmesan wheel with flamed Brandy and cacio e pepe. The wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano is hollowed out until it resembles a bowl, after which warm Brandy is poured and set alight until the alcohol burns off, leaving nothing but pure melted cheese. Hot pasta is then added and stirred, coating each strand with fresh cheese sauce.

Head along to Salt Meats Cheese Broadway at 68 Bay St, Ultimo (opposite Broadway Shopping Centre) to check it out every Wednesday. They’ll be taking bookings for a minimum of 2 per table on (02) 9281 5048
