Saké Restaurant & Bar celebrates Cherry Blossom season with special menus (Sydney)

Go grab a Saffron Gin based Good Time Geisha cocktail at either Saké Restaurant & Bar in Sydney and you’ll be joining the acclaimed modern Japanese restaurant in celebrating the arrival of spring and the stunning Japanese Sakura flowers that come with the season.

Once again, Saké have introduced a few specials to mark the occasion, designing special set menus for offer from now until 19th October. The restaurant’s Melbourne and Brisbane locations will be doing something similar for the month, but Sydneysiders seem particularly spoiled with the value on offer this year.

At the original Saké The Rocks, the kitchen is offering a seven-course menu for $110pp, including steamed prawn dumplings, a trio of yakitori, pan seared glacier 51 toothfish, and sushi made to order by the restaurant’s resident sushi masters. It wraps up neatly with dessert of either a cherry blossom mocha or tonka bean ice cream with cherry curd.

Over at Saké Double Bay, diners can get their palates around a five-course menu for $95pp, with tuna ceviche, chilled spanner crab salad, barramundi kabayaki seared on a robata girll, and a dessert of either cherry blossom kastera, or custard with homemade milk ice cream.

Whichever menu you choose, diners are encouraged to pair with the aforementioned limited-edition Good Time Geisha, which is a cocktail built with Gabriel Boudier Saffron Gin, yuzu sake, and cherry and apple cider syrup.
