Saké Double Bay Celebrates 1st Birthday with new Executive Chef and a special menu (Sydney)

Since Saké Double Bay opened its doors, it has been awarded one Chef’s Hat in 2015 Good Food Guide awards, been called Australia’s Best Japanese Restaurant and has received rave reviews. This year marks its first birthday, with a birthday celebration to be held on Wednesday, 27 January at 7pm. It’s also an important occasion for new Executive Chef Wayne Brown (formerly of Saké Hamer Hall in Melbourne), who will showcase a truly spectacular menu for the event.

Guests will be treated to a 7-course dinner with matching beverages ($150pp). Dish highlights include Aylesbury Duck tataki (with puffed skin, nashi pear, mustard seed and ume caramel); Petuna ocean trout confit (with pak choy, citrus ponzu gel and nori rice chip) and a show-stopping dessert from the Saké collection dubbed White Nitro, with frosted milk, white chocolate and stone fruit.

There are limited tables for this event, so bookings are essential.
