Restaurant reservation service Quandoo arrives in Australia

Confession time: who hasn’t ever promised their friends/partner/family the responsibility of booking dinner at a restaurant, only to completely forget (or just find the task all to arduous), and pray, to every food god in the universe, that there will be a table available for Friday night, no booking made?

New dining reservations app, Quandoo, works to remedy the problem.

As the world’s fastest growing online restaurant reservation service, Quandoo assists the socially inept with booking tables on the go.  Through the Quandoo app, diners can book ahead of time at their favourite spots, such as Pink Salt in Sydney, Mr Lawrence in Melbourne or Foraging Quail in Brisbane.  The platform has also included a language recognition technology, a feature not available with other booking apps in Australia, making the process easier.

Sign-up and registration is easy, and can be done by linking to your nominated email account or via your Facebook account.  Once your account it set up, you’re free to book tables at any of the affiliated restaurants.  Loyalty points are earned the more you use the service, and with restaurant partners in areas all over Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, ranging from high end dining venues to cheap and cheerful eateries, there’s something for everyone.

And it’s not just great for diners, either.  They also offer restaurant owners a bespoke table management system via an online widget, allowing them to manage incoming reservations, without it disputing their existing business.  A recent media event, showcasing the calibre of Quandoo restaurants on their books in the Sydney region (amongst them Busshari Authentic Japanese Restaurant, Kim Contemporary Korean Restaurant and The Bourbon, all within Sydney’s famed East Sydney dining precinct), restaurant owners were quick to praise the simplicity of the management system in their business dealings.

Paul Hadida, VP Sales APAC of Quandoo said, “Australia has been globally one of the most successful launches in the history of Quandoo. We have grown at breakneck speed whilst servicing our partners to the highest degree. It has been a pleasure to lead the amazing team we have, who truly believe in adding the value that we do to our restaurant partners”.

Having been in the Australia for just under a year, Quandoo now represents over 1,600 restaurants Australia wide, and is expanding its register of restaurant partners to even more of Australia’s fantastic eateries. It currently operates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, with a planned launch in Perth by July 2016.  With the business tracking in the right direction, there’s no doubt their aim to become the number one market leader in the field over the next three years will be met.
