Popular South-East Asian chain 4Fingers Crispy Chicken to open in Australia this week

And the latest fast-growing Asian-based food chain to make its way to Australia is 4Fingers. The super-popular, Singaporean-born fried chicken brand is just about ready to enter the local market with their very first down under store opening this week in Melbourne CBD, a move that will be quickly followed by two locations in Brisbane.

First introduced to the world four years ago, 4Fingers has 18 outlets across South-East Asia – specifically Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia – and has become known for their dedication to consistency, quality and sustainability, realised as a “farm-to-fork” philosophy. The promise of healthier and more conscious choices comes as perfect timing to Australia, as more and more fast-casuals are stealing the spotlight from the more conventional fast-food chains in both terms of quality and price.

On the Asian inspired menu will be a great selection of free-range crispy chicken that is free from antibiotics growth promotants and hormones, freshly baked burger buns and kimslaw (kimchi coleslaw) that is fermented in-house. Different flavours and spices are available ranging from soy garlic to hot & spicy, hand-brushed onto the chicken, a difference which is said to give the produce an extra lift in flavour. There are also chips in seaweed or kimchi flavours, sweet potato fries, Japanes rice, mini tofu salads, and signature burgers that extend from the Katsu sandwich with signature chicken and kimslaw in a crisped Chicken bun, to the B.B.F.F with signature chicken, house roasted garlic sauce and fresh button mushrooms wrapped in an artisanal Asian charcoal bun.

All Australian outlets will also be offering a range of beers and ciders along with local wines and soft drinks.

“Apart from great chicken, quality and experience, we are focused on building a stronger brand”, explained CEO Steen Puggaard. “Our store designs, uniforms and even the kind of music we play reflect that. We are about casual dining, not fast food”.
