Pier One Sydney Harbour opens the city’s first harbour pool and bar for summer

Pier One Sydney Harbour have transformed their ideally located wharf into the ultimate summer party destination with the launch of Sydney’s first bar and plunge pool right in the harbour. Open to both guests and the public, The Pool is the hotel’s private pontoon, decked out like a scene from a Slim Aaron’s artwork styled with greenery, colourful chairs and umbrellas, and tunes from the city’s top DJs.

The Pool is open from 3pm every Friday and over the weekend 12 noon onwards now until February. Boasting the best sunset views over the harbour, wind down a sunny afternoon sipping on retro-inspired cocktails and sampling the on-site smokery, The Kerrigan’s, burgers, spiced calamari and wings.

$30 will score you access into The Pool, as well as an alcoholic beverage, towel and the use of luxury pool toys like paddle boards and water bicycles. Remember to keep the kids at home for this one as it’s adults only.

The Pool is also hosting an epic New Year’s Eve party with uninterrupted views of the fireworks and serving all you can eat street-food style stalls, drinks and entertainment for $499 a ticket. During the peak party period from 26 to 1 January, The Pool will be open daily 3 pm until sunset. If you want to book The Pool for your summer party venue, it is available for up to 30 guests.
