My Kitchen Rules’ Colin Fassnidge to host gourmet getaway in the Blue Mountains (Sydney)

Dublin-born Celeb Chef and My Kitchen Rules (MKR) judge, Colin Fassnidge has joined the team at the stunning Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains – McGallery for an exclusive collaboration that will see him highlighting his nose-to-tail cooking philosophy and the very best of the region’s fresh local produce. Taking place on Saturday 9th July, Fassnidge will be hosting two gastronomic events, first a masterclass running from 1:30pm to 3pm, and later a four-course gala dinner that kicks off at 6:30pm and wraps up at 10:30pm. There’s also the fact that it’s taking place in winter, known to all regulars of the incredible resort as the best time to visit.

At the gala dinner, Fassnidge plans to give guests an insight into his passion for food and his journey to becoming one of the country’s most celebrated chefs, presenting a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with a man who many watch weekly on My Kitchen Rules. Fassnidge work with the resort’s culinary team to design each dish, paired up with a range of regional NSW wines.

“Winter is the perfect time to escape the city for a gourmet getaway in the Blue Mountains, with the occasional dusting of snow surprising our guests”, offered Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains General Manager Scott O’Neile. “We look forward to collaborating with Colin and delighting our guests with two exciting unique culinary events this July”.

The nose-to-tail masterclass is ticketed at $80pp (inc. canapes and beverages) while the four-course gala dinner is set at $160pp (inc. paired wines). Guests have the option of staying the weekend at the resort from $259 per room, per night (standard room) or $299 per room, per night with full buffet breakfast included overlooking the Jamison Valley.
