Milk Bar by Cafe Ish are doing a katsu crumbed crocodile burger this week (Sydney)

The team at Redfern favourite Milk Bar by Cafe Ish emerged as major competitors on Sydney’s crowded burger scene quite awhile ago, and even since they’ve built a steady stream of regulars with regular specials, some modest and some over the top. This could be their most unique yet, with this week’s burger special taking the form of a freakin’ Japanese influenced Katsu Crumbed Crocodile Burger, a huge move away from the standard stacks of beef and bacon that regularly flood Sydney’s streets.

They are offering this one for $18.50 each, which seems pretty damn reasonable given the load of ingredients. On the burger you’ll get kastu crumbed crocodile meat, Japanese 7 spice, tonkatsu sauce, cabbage, kewpie mayo, pickled daikon, avocado, and a sushi topper all between a house-baked bun

You might want to hurry though, it’s only a special on the menu for this week and they have very limited numbers. We suggest calling ahead to avoid disappointed (although if you do miss out, they still have all their others burgers, desserts and shakes on the menu).
