In addition to announcing the lineup for it’s big opening night at The Domain, Sydney-based arts and culture event Spectrum Now has released a delicious program of all the food and drink on offer throughout the festival, calling on some of the biggest, best, and most loved outlets in Sydney and from across Australia to set up at The Domain.
Burger champ Burgers by Josh will be coming on board this year as one of the most exciting new additions to the food program, creating burgers named after pop culture icons like the Lisa Simpson, the Fat Tony, and Porky the Pig. Plus there will be set-ups from One Tea Lounge with their infamous Ramen Burger and green-tea infused Matcha Baoger, the great Gelato Messina who will be bringing back their popular Milk Bar concept with new Gelato Chocolate Bars and Thick Shakes. Frequent collaborators Black Star Pastry and N2 Extreme Gelato will be re-teaming for some exclusive desserts alongside even more fare from the likes of Wing Kingdom, Langos Love, Texas Smokehouse, Playa Takeria, Urban Pasta, POKLOL, Tsuru, Shallot Thai and Dainty Dumpling House.
Little Creatures will bring their specially crafted beer garden to the space, with a fine selection of their classic craft beers and some ciders as well as their excellent limited edition summer release Dog Days and some weekend beer workshops on what’s designed as a pop-up rooftop bar. Nearby at Sideshow Alley Hendricks will make their return to the event with the Gin Emporium of Oddities with showgirls, circus performers, snake charmers, fortune tellers, and a special collaboration with Messina resulting in a Cucumber Gelato.
Each Friday night of the festival The Domain will turn into a vibrant LATAM Friday Fiesta with a South American flavour that extends to additional food stalls, offering up Latin-inspired specials alongside Latin dancing classes (from Oliver Pineada, Tango Tangueros and the La Fiesta Dancers), samba tunes, live hip hop, and DJs.
The first night of the festival (Thurs 3rd March) will see some sets from Future Classic champs Hayden James and Wave Racer as well as Paces. The whole thing kicks off at 5pm with doors to the Big Top opening at 7pm. Register for free entry tickets at the link below.
Not enough for you? How about the “Quick Bites” program, which invites festival go-ers to try some of the city’s best from 1st to 16th March for $25. This is spread throughout the city at various venues, including Tapavino, where you’ll find a bespoke Cherry & Hendrick’s Martini paired up with world-class Spanish Ham; Franchi Brothers Italian Bar in Paddington, with an aperitiv party on March 9th, serving up Hendricks Gin and antipasto; and Flying Fajita Sisters in Glebe, where there are some beaut Chimichangas with sides of salsa, guacamole, and a Little Creatures beer.
