Melbourne’s dedicated Espresso Martini festival will return in November

Off the back of last year’s hugely successful event, Mr Black’s Festival of the Espresso Martini is set to pop-up at Melbourne’s famous Meat Market for a full weekend in November. Set to be bigger than last year’s festival, the venue will be transformed into four different bar areas for coffee lovers to get across, including the pop-up Mr Black Coffee Shop which will be slinging White Russian slushies all three days along with their OG Espresso Martini topped with a jam donut.

Similar to last year’s event, Mr Black will anchor the festival around their main bar with some unique twists on everyone’s favourite coffee cocktail, with variations including The Coffee Nut (Mr Black, Pampero Especial Rum, coconut milk, espresso, and Monin coconut). There will be a number of smaller bars scattered around the festival, like a special collaboration Tiki Bar with Windsor’s Jungle Boy and a speakeasy by Everleigh Bottling Co, hidden in the depths of the Meat Market with bottled cocktails. There’ll even be some offerings for those who prefer their craft beer, with the legends at Holgate Brewhouse bringing their brews to the grounds, as well as Fever Tree offering up their signature sodas.

“It’s great to be back in Melbourne for our second year”, said Mr Black Founder Tom Baker. “This year’s festival is shaping up to be bigger, better and boozier than ever, with our 20 world class coffee cocktails, masterclasses, live music and general debauchery. Melbourne’s love for good coffee and craft drinking has no bounds, and we’re pleased to be able to return again in 2017”.

What’s all that booze without some food to go with it though? Lucky for festival-goers, Mr Black has rounded up a nice range of food vendors to help with the festival, including BBQ essentials Fancy Hanks, Zeus St Greek Food, That Arancini Guy, Toasta & Co, and Butter Mafia.

Anyone who wants to get their hands on a ticket can do so via moshtix.com.au for $30pp (+bf). Or customers are able to purchase a specially tagged bottle of Mr Black from Dan Murphy’s to receive a free ticket to the festival.
