Matt Moran’s three-level Barangaroo restaurant is opening in December (Sydney)

Featuring three distinct levels, Barangaroo House will be one of the biggest openings to date for the ever-growing precinct, led by none other than Matt Moran in partnership with Solotel, the group behind some of Sydney’s biggest venues including Aria, Chiswick and Opera Bar. It’s been a long time coming, with the project in the works for the past three years, but now the restaurant has finally locked in a December opening date, promising the define the new capital of contemporary Australian cuisine.

Moran will be joined by ex-Noma and ex-Vue de monde chef Cory Campbell as the pair lead the kitchens, which will all be different across the three levels, marking Solotel’s most ambitious opening to date. It’s overall design aesthetic will be defined by nature and overflowing greenery, flowing through a ground-level bar and dining venue, a to-be-announced “unique dining experience” on the first floor, and a rooftop terrace bar on the top.

“For two years, I’ve scoured the globe looking for the chef to lead Barangaroo House”, said Moran, discussing how he teamed up with Campbell in the first place. “It was crucial to appoint a chef who perfectly aligned with our plans for the venue and ultimately, a chef for our own shores was the perfect fit.”

More details on Barangaroo House will of course be revealed in the lead-up to its opening but for now you can grab more information and keep up to date with the restaurant on the official website HERE.
