Malaysian restaurant PappaRich opens exciting new concept location at Southern Cross Station (Melbourne)

Southern Cross Station’s collection of casual eats just took a big step up with the opening of acclaimed Malaysian-born restaurant chain PappaRich.

A 40-seater venue was unveiled earlier this week, bringing the authentic flavours of South-East Asia to Melbourne’s CBD with a new-concept lean towards fast service, best represented by self-serve kiosks, a first for PappaRich. The new restaurant bumps the internationally renowned brand’s Aussie presence up to 29 venues across the country, and marks the first of a planned rollout of similar concept PappaRich venues.

In addition to the self-serve kiosks, a few menu additions have kicked up the already comprehensive menu of signatures like special Biryani Rice, Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice, and Char Koay Teow. The menu now includes delicious breakfast and lunch on-the-go options.

Commuters regularly ducking in and out of Southern Cross should get on the new opening straight away. To celebrate, this particular PappaRich is doing up a round of “gold coin deals” for the entire opening week. This ranges from their famous Malaysian coffee for just 1 dollar (8am-10am), to their signature Nasi Lemak Bungkus (the one where a traditional Nasi Lemak is wrapped up neatly in banana leaf) for $2 (12pm-2pm). Yep, only two dollarydoos. Hurry though, the gold coin rush deals are only available from 2nd July to 6th July.

PappaRich Southern Cross Station will operate seven days a week, serving up an authentic taste of Malaysia from breakfast through to dinner.
