La Puerta Latino Flavours opens in Neutral Bay (Sydney)

Neutral Bay’s growing dining scene has just taken a big step forward, welcoming Oscar Espinosa, ex-Head Chef of Mexicano, for his first solo venture, tapping into authentic South American food with La Puerta Latino Flavours. Just off the Military Road strip, on Waters Road, you’ll find the restaurant-bar and it’s heady tapas-style approach to flavours from Cuba, Argentina, Peru, and Brazil.

Those heading along can expect signature dishes like Plantanitos, Tiradito, and Avocado Panna Cotta, which can be washed down with some lively drinks like a Chimmichurri infused Tequila, right alongside the more substantial dishes of Argentinian style steak and Peruvian styled ceviche.

Beers are open to Australia as well (they’ve got 4 Pines for example) but offer a deeper exploration of imports like the Salta from Argentina or the Dos Equis from Mexico. Those who aren’t into their import beers can always work their way through the cocktail list, which includes a Chimmichurri Margartia and a Tequila Negroni.
