Krispy Kreme and Reese’s have teamed up to create a peanut butter doughnut

Dominant doughnut chain Krispy Kreme have come together with Reese’s (best known for Reese’s Pieces) and birthed the peanut butter doughnut, the most logical outcome of this collaboration. The flavour fusion comes after weeks of experimenting in the Krispy Kreme lab, tinkering with the best ways to balance a Reese’s Peanut Butter with the brand’s trademark doughnut shell.

From this week, Australia will be getting the flavour at all Krispy Kreme and 7Eleven stores across the country, giving the public a chance to scoff down the creation, which features reese’s peanut butter sauce, chocolate icing, and reese’s peanut butter chips beneath Krispy Kreme’s doughnut shell, finished with morsels of vanilla biscuit crumb and a lathering of choc drizzle.

The Australian launch of this flavour also serves as a bit of a celebration for the brand as they pop up their new store at Sydney Central Station (Henry Deane Plaza, 2 Lee St, Haymarket NSW 2000) on Friday 26th August. For opening day, they’ll be giving out free Original Glazed doughnuts all day.
