KFC are giving away free fried chicken in Sydney this weekend

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of KFC in Australia, the behemoth fast-food chain will be posted up at Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney this Friday 27th April. Starting from 12pm on the day, they’ll surely be attracting some pretty crazy queues because they are giving away free fried chicken.

Understandably, KFC Australia are expecting thousands of people to rock up on the day to get their hands on the freshly cooked chicken, which will be served up in limited 50th edition buckets. The giveaway will even be soundtracked by some DJ’s spinning hits from the 60s up to now, representing every era of KFC in Australia.

We’d say it’s safe to expect a bunch of other nostalgic surprises on the day, as KFC are really proud of the fact that they’ve been around across the country for so long, ever since they first opened in 1968 in Guilford, Sydney. That humble presence has grown to over 625 stores across the country, serving more than 2 million customers per week.
