James Street Food & Wine Trail returns to Brisbane this month

The sixth annual James Street Food & Wine Trail is back for a four-day long takeover of the well-known Brisbane precinct. The popular food and drink event will return Thursday 27 through to Sunday 30 July, with a full schedule of in-venue collaborations, tastings and master classes.

Those heading along to the immersive festival can enjoy the alfresco dining with live chef demonstrations at the Live Pop-Up Kitchen, music at the Live & Vibe stage and all-ages entertainment at the Kids Camp. James Street will play host to over 25 market stalls, with pop-up bars and restaurants arriving for the final day of the event. The Market Day will take place on Sunday from 10am until 6pm and will see a portion of the street closed off to make way for the pop-ups.

Creative Director of the James Street Initiative, Marie-Louise Theile hopes for the festival to bring like-minded people in the community together by adding more notable events on the schedule.

“This year’s four-day program will offer a full schedule of unique international collaborations, experiences and of course, delicious locally produced food for all to enjoy” says Theile.

Some of the international collaborations include the founders and owners of Bar Gyu+ in Niseko, Japan. They will join James Street locals this year as well as Gerard’s Bistro and Embla ‘Hat Swap’, a seasonal ‘Six Course Dinner’ at King Arthur Cafe, ‘Local Producers Cornucopia’ at Scrumptious Reads, and Bucci Restaurant’s ‘Vacation Series’ to name just a few.
