Jack Daniel’s pop-up Barrel House returns to Melbourne this month

Barbecue, whiskey and live music are on the cards when Jack Daniel’s bring their epic pop-up Barrel House back to Melbourne’s Crown Riverwalk this month to coincide with Melbourne Music Week. From Friday 17th November, the Barrel House will be hosting a wide array of over 40 Australian artists spanning various genres, putting their sounds up alongside smokey Southern BBQ and whiskey-based drinks.

Remaining popped up waterside until Sunday 3rd December the rowdy party hub, which debuted to huge success last year, will host acts like prodigious guitarist Harts, singer-songwriter D’Arcy Spiller, electronica wizard Japanese Wallpaper, soulful producer Alice Ivy, and sure-fire party-starters The Aston Shuffle. They will make up a program that promises over 100 hours of local independent talent, all spread over several weeks.

Locals San Antone have come on board to cook up a whole heap of Southern-inspired food, including pulled pork sandwiches with tangy coleslaw and rich BBQ sauce; smoked beef brisket with caramelised onions and pickles; chicken jalapeno sausages; chilli dogs; and of course mac ‘n’ cheese. It’s a limited edition menu curated by the team and mirrored at their own restaurant, which sits nearby in the Crown complex.
