Hold onto summer with this Gin pop up by the rooftop pool of The Old Clare Hotel (Sydney)

Chippendale’s Kensington Street Social has now had more than enough time to settle into it’s groove as the third new opening at The Old Clare Hotel. The menus and cocktail list here have already been a hot topic for discerning diners and drinkers in the area, many of whom have the good sense to also venture on up to the hotel’s rooftop, where one of the city’s best rooftop pools sits pretty, adjacent to a bar serving up even more cocktails and snacks. Kensington Street Social know the rooftop is a special place to be so they’ve teamed up with Tanquaray Gin to stage a little ten-day pop up full of exclusive cocktails and food straight from the KSS kitchen.

Exclusive cocktails available at the pop-up include the Grapefruit & Chamomile Gimlet ($20) made with Tanqueray No. Ten, grapefruit sherbet chamomile cordial, and grapefruit oils; Tanquaray Martini however you like it done; the Corpse Reviver ($18) with Tanquaray, lemon, blue curacao, Fino sherry; the Negroni Sbagliato ($19.50) with Tanquaray, Campari, sweet vermouth, and fizz; and the Dill & Banana Fizz ($19.50) with Tanqueray, dill, banana essence, lime, absinthe, and Fever Tree tonic.

The pop-up lasts for one more week only, with the last day set for Sunday 20th March when DJ Backhanderz will be soundtracking your swim-and-sip with live music from 2-6pm. Entry is free and open from 3pm Wednesday through Friday, and from 11am on weekends. Capacity is capped at 100. More information can be found on the Facebook event page HERE.
