Heineken to launch flagship bar at Sydney Airport

Ice cold beer and food by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck is what one will find at Heineken House, the brand’s very first flagship venue in Australia, opening at Sydney Airport’s T1 Internatinal terminal. The busy airport will be hosting the new venture as part of an ongoing evolution to their food and beverage scene, providing a large space that will be curated by Heineken with plans to join up with Puck’s The Bistro.

Premium bar food including wood-fired gourmet pizzas will be pumping out of The Bistro while Heineken take care of the pre-flight bevvies, which will feature all their latest products including Extra Cold, their coldest beer yet which is delivered through an innovative partly frozen draught column and served between -1 and -3 degree Celsius, poured into a frozen Heineken glass. Also available will be the recently launched Heineken 3 (86 calories per bottle, 3.3% ABV) which has been designed as an alternative option to full strength, a particularly viable option for those with an afternoon flight to worry about

The new venue, which features an eight metre high bottle wall and floor-to-ceiling windows, will be unveiled to the public towards the end of this month, forming part of the City View precinct which has been created by Emirates Leisure Retail in collaboration with Sydney Airport. The precinct will also be taking a big step forward in October with the opening of Kitchen By Mike (*heavy breathing*).
