Gelatissimo and Brewtown announce exclusive gelato-brewnut fusion for Newtown (Sydney)

Newtown locals are used to seeing some of their favourites come together for limited edition collaborations. By now those who live around the inner-west gem should be more than familiar with the Newtown Locals but there’s plenty of other partnerships worth paying attention to. The latest: a delicious fusion from Gelatissimo and Brewtown Newtown.

Gelatissimo’s Newtown store is kickstarting their 5th anniversary with the collaboration, resulting in a unique limited edition flavour that blends velvety pure vanilla bean gelato with Brewtown’s famous cinnamon brewnut and serves it alongside the cafe’s freshly ground cold drip coffee. The pairing will be available from Gelatissimo Newtown from Thursday 25th May for a limited time, while stocks last.

“We were excited with Gelatissimo’s proposal to partner on a customised local gelato flavour that nods to Newtown’s coffee-loving culture and a strong sense of community”, said Matthew Johnson of Brewtown Newtown. “It’s a much a gift to our friends at Gelatissimo as it is to the Newtown locals”.

Of course, there’s also going to be a special in-store promotion when Gelatissimo’s 5th birthday rolls around (on 25th May), offering up a two-scoops-for-five-bucks deal.

On a national level, Gelatissimo have just introduced three new tea-inspiring flavours to their wide range, offering some inventive flavour profiles including Crème Brulee (smooth caramel custard gelato topped with crunchy burnt sugar), Lemon Melting Moments (creamy lemon gelato folded with buttery vanilla biscuits), and Choc Chai Latte (chocolate chai gelato sprinkled with spiced cookie crumb). Those are available at every Gelatissimo store across Australia.
