Five Points look to L.A and New Orleans for new limited edition burgers (Sydney)

Delicious marketing is the best kind of marketing. Want proof? Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment are preparing for a trio of Australian home releases for long-running police procedural NCIS – NCIS Season 13, NCIS Los Angeles Season 7 and NCIS New Orleans Season 2 – and for Sydney they’ve decided to do something special. Rather than go the obvious route and connect with a donut brand, they’ve gone straight to the heart of Sydney’s crazy food queues and tapped one of the city’s best burger joints, North Sydney’s Five Points, to create two bespoke, limited edition burgers inspired by the cities of L.A and New Orleans.

For The New Orleans ($13), the kitchen at Five Points Burger have conjured up some Deep South soul with marinated grilled chicken and a crunchy slaw topped with cheese, chilli mayo, and a drip-tastic hickory smoked bacon onion jam. Moving up to the City of Angels, the sunny L.A ($13) will be defined by a juicy grilled beef patty, double cheese, iceberg lettuce, and spicy jalapenos topped with a tangy chiptole mayo.

Five Points Burger are known to be the best in the area, so we’re expecting no exceptions here once the burgers are let loose on the menu from Thursday 29th September to Friday 28th October. To bump things even higher for NCIS fans, they’ll be mirroring the 300th episode of NCIS and 150th episode of NCIS: Los Angeles by playing their own little numbers game – their 150th and 300th customer to order the limited edition burgers will get their order for free as well as a copies of NCIS Season 13, NCIS Los Angeles Season 7 and NCIS New Orleans Season 2 on DVD.

NCIS Season 13, NCIS Los Angeles Season 7 and NCIS New Orleans Season 2 are out on DVD in Australia from Thursday 29th September.
