Fancy Hanks are doing a collaboration lunch with Rice Paper Scissors this weekend (Melbourne)

One trend we’re definitely not sick of, and likely never will be, is the rise of the “guest chef collaboration”. Everywhere you turn there’s a new restaurant kicking off a guest chef series, giving diners dynamic and exciting one-off dinners that push away from the norm and opt to offer something new. Melbourne’s Fancy Hanks are but the latest to dive head first into this approach, recently having begun a “Chef Collab Sunday” lunch series, and their third installation will see the city’s popular barbecue restaurant turn to Asian fusion as they welcome Rice Paper Scissors into their kitchen.

Of course, this means that we’re going to get flavours from Thai, Vietnamese and Filipino cuisines seeping into the smoker, resulting in dishes like traditional babi guling, Filipino style lamb ribs, smoked scallops and cured kingfish. Spots are limited so we suggest making a booking now.
