ENA Greek Street Food makes its way to Southgate’s precinct (Melbourne)

ENA Greek Street Food is Southgate’s newest addition to Melbourne’s thriving dining precinct, serving up rustic dishes with a modern twist inspired by the streets and beaches of Greece.

Translating to ‘Number One’ in Greek, ENA have forged their menu using simple and some of the freshest seasonal ingredients experienced in southern Kalamata, and sourcing the finest cuts of meat from local Victorian suppliers.

Avid foodie and TV star, Chris Stavropoulos (Reno Rumble and House Rules) has collaborated with Sean Cheshire and Funky Food Group (Lavezzi Gelati, Billy’s Kitchen, Billy Barista) to bring authentic, fresh Greek street food to Melbourne.

Co-owner and Executive Chef, Matthew English is a leading force in this vision, having worked 23 years in Melbourne and perfecting his craft over eight years in some of Melbourne’s established restaurants like Romulus and Remus and SUD.

Using authentic Greek cooking techniques similar to that used in the homes and street stalls of Greece, ENA have perfected an appetising menu with dishes such as Loukaniki: house made sausages infused with orange zest, oregano and fennel, and Moussaka croquettes: chargrilled watermelon with radish, feta and olive. For those with a sugar craving, a top option on the dessert menu includes Loukomades: Greek donuts with warm honey, walnut and almond crumble.
