Mulled Wine Daiquiris and Winter Juleps will be taking over Darlinghurst’s Della Hyde this month as the cosy small bar teams with Thredbo Tourism to stage “Della Après-Ski”. It won’t exactly be the Austrian slops down below Oxford Street, but will be a series of warm winter-friendly events which highlight the new drinks list along with a selection of themed tastings.
The team behind the gorgeous small bar have released a schedule of events designed to show different parts of the new offerings, from Wild Brumby shnapps tastings (Thursday 9th June) to Whisky & Cheese pairings (Wednesday 15th June; $30pp). There’s also a Wine Tasting with Antipasto Platters on Wednesday 29th June for $30pp, and an Irish V Scotch Whisky Battle on Wednesday 22nd June for $30pp. For tickets head to Della Hyde’s website listed below.
Most exciting is the drinks list which will be offered throughout the month, including the aforementioned Mulled Wine Daiquiri ($18) made with Havana 7yr, Mulled Wine Syrup, and Fresh Lime, a Barrel Aged Old Fashioned ($20) with Martell VS, Chivas 12yr, Maple Syrup, and Choc Bitters, the Winter Julep ($18) with Jameson Caskmates, Apricot Brandy, Fig Syrup, and Mint, a two-person shared cocktail called The Golden Pineapple ($38) which has Absolut Elyx, Canton Ginger Liqueur, Fresh Pineapple, Lemon, and Ginger Syrup, and two medieval classics: a Goblet of Mead ($9) and Mulled Wine ($8).
