Burger Watch: BL Burgers celebrate St Patrick’s Day with weekly special (Sydney)

Welcome to Burger Watch, where we acknowledge the constant creativity bursting from all sides of the epic burger wave that regularly sweeps Australia. The highest of high demand is reserved for this timeless food staple and just about every interpretation of it, whether it to be an over-the-top glutton-fest or a focus on simple burgers done well. We acknowledge that it’s not just enough to compile a list of the best burger joints for each city because we all know the cream of the crop have space on their menu for revolving specials. That’s why every now and then we’ll be paying close attention to some of the absolute best burger joints across the country and picking limited edition specials we feel you need in your life, so you’ll never have to miss out again.

We’re featuring Sydney’s BL Burgers yet again because, well, they are one of the most constantly creative forces on the scene. You need look no further than this week’s special to see/taste that. To commemorate St Patrick’s Day they’ve dipped into the luck of the Irish and pulled out what may be one of the most intriguing creations to date: Paddy O’Burgs.

This hulking bright green burger features one of BL’s signature beef patties (extra available of course), cheddar cheese, tasty cheese, white onion, Guinness braised brisket, Irish Whiskey BBQ sauce and potato gems all between a green milk bun. They’ll be slinging this one all week for $18 a pop.
