Bongo’s Bingo: Australia’s bingo rave is coming to Brisbane

After selling out their Sydney and Melbourne events in less than five minutes, the team behind the UK’s popular Bongo’s Bingo have decided to bring their quirky rave-bingo to Brisbane. For one night only, Fortitude Valley institution The Tivoli will host this unique spin on bingo on Friday 30th June, joining Sydney’s Paddington Town Hall and Melbourne’s Collingwood Town Hall as the first venues to bring this concept down under.

Loosely framed around a traditional game of bingo, Bongo’s Bingo presents a rave-like twist, encouraging younger generations to head along to what is often stereotyped as an event exclusively for the oldies. It’s a curious idea, founded by Jonny Bongo, who has been hosting the show since it first arrived in the UK back in 2015. He’ll likely be the one at the helm of the whole thing on the night, calling out the numbers and spinning the tunes, although the full line-up for each night is yet to be announced.

There will be a heap of big cash prizes at each Bongo’s Bingo event in addition to some other “amazing” and “not-so-amazing” things in between.
