Alpha is now doing decadent Greek breakfasts with lobster tarts and more (Sydney)

Peter Conistis‘ beloved Alpha has just extended their opening hours, introducing a unique breakfast menu set to channel the same flavoursome traditional and contemporary Mediterranean flavours that have made the restaurant one of Sydney’s favourite Greek restaurants.

Guests can now enjoy the elegant interior in a different light – morning light that is – while the kitchen whips up breakfast options from 7am to 11am each weekday in addition to takeaway and cafe options at the attached Alpha foodstore. The brand new breakfast menu features Greek-inspired seasonal dishes including Mediterranean touches on Sydney classics like the avo on toast with sides of broad bean, hummus, feta and tomatoes. Other dishes include eggplant papoutsaki with baked eggs, caramelised shallots and manouri, and Greek yoghurt with fresh figs, rose geranium honey and walnuts. The spelt pita is stuffed with poached egg, cauliflower salad, grains and tahini yogurt, while the lobster tart (yes, lobster tart) is made with halloumi, dill and zucchini blossom.
