A three day BBQ festival is coming to Sydney’s Hills District in November

BBQ Festival’s are all the rage right now; just look at how packed out Meatstock gets every year. It’s no revelation that Aussies love their BBQ so the more of these things popping up around the country the better. Enter the Australian Hotel and Brewery who will be putting on an epic three-day BBQ Food Fest in Rouse Hill this November to celebrate all that is delicious about smoked meats and Aussie craft beers, sitting along with family-friendly entertainment and live music headed by Thirsty Merc.

With a focus on low-and-slow BBQ, the festival will be made up of various food trucks offering tender and smokey BBQ meats as well as a few other cuisines, some desserts, and tinnies from Australian Brewery. There’ll be a bunch of activities set up to really nail that family festival vibe, from face painting and showbag stalls to rides and market stalls.

Across the weekend the inaugural Australian Brewery Kingsford Invitational BBQ Competition, sanctioned by the Australiasian Barbecue Alliance (ABA), will feature a program of 35 BBQ teams going head-to-head for $40,000 in cash and prizes. A few international teams will be heading on down for the festival as well, but we all know they’ll get their asses handed to them by team ‘Straya.

“it’s incredible exciting to be hosting an event that celebrates all things BBQ and brew”, said promoter Trevelyan Bale. “The BBQ competition is probably the most prestigious in the Southern Hemisphere, with teams travelling from different countries to take on the Aussies”.

Anyone keen on heading along over the weekend can pick up at ticket for $5, with $1 from everyone purchase going to Hills Charitable Trust.
