A free two-day “Pontoon Party” is kicking off at Milk Beach this weekend (Sydney)

As temperature soar and beaches fill up, big brands are looking to get in on Sydney’s epic summer rush, and what better way to do that then throwing a big two-day “pontoon party” at one of the city’s best harbour beaches? Coca-Cola know what’s up, planning a Tiki styled bash with DJ Mashd N Kutcher and custom-made pontoon floating out on the water from the picturesque destination.

The soft drink brand will pop-up a party hut, the same which features in their newly released television commercial, which will host a DJ booth as well as games and activities like basketball, paddleboarding and heaps of eskies packed with water and, you guessed it, coke (a-cola) from the No Sugar variety to the new Raspberry flavour.

“Summer in Australia really is all about the beaches and enjoying the outdoors and we believe this goes hand in hand with a refreshing icy-cold Coca-Cola”, said the brand’s spokeswoman Marina Rocha. “With so many festivals and parties reserved for over 18s, we wanted to put out an awesome experience for younger people to enjoy too”.

The free-to-attend party will be kicking off on Fri 12th and Sat 13th January from 11am-5pm, with Mashd N Kutcher playing for two hours each day (Fri 1:30pm-3:30pm; Sat 12:30pm-2:30pm).

****EDIT***: While the party is still going ahead, it has now moved to Rose Bay Ferry Wharf and will be an over 18s event. Those aged 13-17 must be accompanied by a parent or have a waiver signed by a guardian.
