Mode Kitchen & Bar (CBD)
Francesco Mannelli, Head Chef of the increasingly popular Mode Kitchen & Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, is curating a very special paddock-to-plate lunch menu for those looking to make the most of Mother’s Day. Located within the luxury hotel’s world-class lobby, the restaurant will be serving up fine local produce and expertly crafted dishes for the whole family, showcasing seasonal ingredients and local producers in dishes that highlight the kitchen’s biggest hits.
Just try and resist entrees like the immensely popular milk fed veal tartare, or mains such as the big Yamba king prawns served with fennel, burnt orange and ajo blanco. A selection of exquisite desserts to finish will surely impress mum, and regulars will be glad to know the curated menu also includes the famous ricotta cheesecake. For even more value all guests will be served Sydney Rock Oysters along with the menu, as well as a glass of Champagne Pommery on arrival so your mum can live her best life.

This new sunny streetside French restaurant has been picking up a lot of press in the past few months, praising the elegant and dynamic dining destination since it opened in the tail-end of 2017. If mum feels like a French banquet this year, then this is an excellent option that won’t put a hurtin’ on the wallet either. At $79pp, their Mother’s Day set menu reads like a dreamy long lunch or dinner, with a selection of cold meats followed by beef tartare served with oyster and onion bignets. Try some vermouth emulsion prawns and then end it all with a finely curated selection of mini French desserts.
Mum will get a box of house-made truffles as a special gift, and one lucky diner will end up taking home a prized magnum of rosé.
The set will be served for both lunch and dinner on Sunday 13th May, from 12pm-11pm.

Primus Hotel Sydney (CBD)
With one of the best high tea sessions around, this now well-established Sydney boutique hotel located in the heart of the CBD is an excellent option for a classic Mother’s Day. Take your dearest along on Sunday 13th May and you’ll have access to a $79pp menu that includes a glass of Veuve on arrival, followed by a conceptual high tea led by Pastry Cehf Andria Liu, created especially for the day with an array of sweet and savoury delights including wagyu brisket sliders, crab and corn beignet, confit duck rillettes, lemon cannolis, passionfruit meringue tarts, tiramisu, and a few other signatures that are best kept as surprises on the day.

Uccello will be opening up their poolside rooftop haven for the very first time this Mother’s Day, providing a top choice for those looking for a relaxing leisurely Italian lunch. The poolside kitchen will be offering up three ($85) or four ($95) course menus with Head Chef Ben Sitton’s trademark authentic flair from 12pm to 5pm. Diners will be able to choose from the finest options off the menu, and those who really want to splurge can pre-order a bottle of Ruinart Rosé for $110, or order a bouquet of flowers from the nearby Palings Flowers and have it delivered to the table.

Luke’s Kitchen (Waterloo)
Luke Mangan’s new concept restaurant has officially found its groove over at the former warehouse site that was once Mojo. Moving away from the New York style art aesthetic into something a bit more refined and elegant, the new restaurant will be dipping into their very first Mother’s Day with some classic dishes curated into a four-course menu being offered for $80pp (from 12:30pm onwards; brunch from the a la carte menu available before that). It includes a glass of sparkling on arrival followed by dishes including salt cod dip with pork scratchings and lemon puree; roasted Inglewood organic chicken with cauliflower puree, and asparagus, preserved lemon; and chocolate tart with roasted nectarine and salted caramel ice-cream. There will also be the option to pre-order a Bellevue Monogram purse and Mother’s Day hamper.

Fairmont Resort (Blue Mountains)
Head for the peace and quiet of the Blue Mountains and take mum to the incredible Fairmont Resort in Leura. The postcard-worthy hotel is doing up a high tea for $70pp on the day, complementing those airy mountain views with a carefully planned experience that kicks off with a glass of sparkling and leads into a classic high tea with sandwiches, traditional scones, pastries, cakes, slices and savoury items. Standard? Not with local produce and those unforgettable views of the Jamison Valley.

Berowra Waters Inn (Berowra Waters)
Another short (50 minutes from CBD) road trip option, take mum up north along to the stunning Berowra Waters Inn on the Sunday and you’ll find that the popular destination has replaced their long lunch with a one-off fine dining brunch degustation. Five courses will be available for $125pp, showcasing all Australian produce led by Executive Chef Brian Geraghty who has written a menu that includes dishes such as crab cakes with fresh chervil salad; smoked trout with fennel, orange and dill beurre blanc; and pork rashers with tomato and bacon. Shell out an extra $55pp and you can get matching wines with that, of $28pp for non-alcoholic drinks like lemon aspen and chervil spritz, a fennel and cucumber kombucha, and a Virgin Mary. Any little ones in the family will have their own special kids menu, with pasta and dessert for $25, or a choice of three of the degustation dishes for $75.
You’ll get to choose one of three sittings through day: 9am, 12pm or 3pm.
