Head along to popular eatery The House of Luis Tans in Bondi this Sunday for the return of Rum Cha, a concept which mashes traditional Chinese Yum Cha with a Latin American flavour as each plate can be enjoyed with some tropical Rum cocktails from 1pm. More info and bookings HERE
Grayson Perry at Museum of Contemporary Art (Circular Quay)
Garyson Perry’s fabulous “My Pretty Little Art Career” exhibition at MCA is still running, it goes until May 1st, but if you haven’t been yet then this a good a weekend as any to experience the unique, spectacular tapestry works, the political, animated ceramics, and general playfulness balanced with sharp, unique political and social commentary that has characterised this acclaimed British artist’s career. Lunar New Year
All the celebrations for the Year of the Monkey around Sydney begin this week, so now is a good opportunity to head down and enjoy such Sydney CNY traditions as the Lunar Markets and the various dragon dances that will be happening around Sydney. There’s plenty on, so check our CNY guide HERE.
Musica Copa El Publico
Various members of the local music industry and pop-culture publication Pedestrian participated in the annual Musica Copa today, Friday 5th February, a Star-studded charity 5-a-side football tournament. It was invite only, but there’s some good news this year as the event has opened up to the public, hosting Musica Copa El Publico where the public can enter a local 5-a-side tournament for the chance to win bumper cash prizes, and raise even more money for charity. La Poutine Week
For the first time ever, Canada’s famous La Poutine Week has come to Australia and there are a few restaurants and bars around Sydney participating in the official competition. The greatest dish to ever come from Canada will be offered, interpreted, and consumed at places like The Stuffed Beaver in Bondi and The Erko in Erskineville, with specials available until this Sunday.
