Vans hook up with A Tribe Called Quest for expansive sneaker collection

You on point Vans? The renowned sports and apparel brand have this week announced a special collaboration collection with none other than the legendary A Tribe Called Quest, hooking up with The Thread Shop – a merchandising company from ATCQ and Sony Music – for sneakers which celebrate, pay tribute and honour the style, art and originality that permeate every single note of Tribe’s music.

With a mix of iconic album artwork and some of the most classic ATCQ lyrics (peep excerpts from Phife’s Buggin’ Out verse in sneaker form below), the sneakers salute the indelible cultural impact of the hip hop group, offering a range of Vans classic silhouettes including the Slip-On, Old Skool, Authentic, Sk8-Hi, and Era in bold colours and prints. All these iterations celebrate different steps in the group’s career, and we’re particularly enamoured with the Authentic, which honours the life of the late, great Phife Dawg and should easily be a must-own for any hip hop head in Australia.

The Vans x A Tribe Called Question collaboration retails from $119.95 to $179.95 and available locally from April 6, 2018 at selected Vans Concept Stores, Vans.com.au, selected HYPE DC stores and HYPEDC.com.
