Ray-Ban are now letting you turn your social media feed into a new pair of sunnies

Sunglass stalwarts Ray-Ban have decided to kick their successful “Ray-Ban Remix” concept up a notch and tap further into the social media generation by allowing customers to personalise new pairs of sunglasses with their Instagram or Facebook feeds. The enormously successful, visual-first social media platforms have come to capture users’ personalities, presenting feeds which are often so varied in colour and imagination that it only makes perfect sense to incorporate this into fashion.

Users of the brand new online Ray-Ban feature will be able to customise their temples by entering their social media feed and watching as the simple online process turns their current series of images into a barcode-like rainbow of colours, infusing the frames with the user’s own photos and generating a unique design.

Appropriately titled “Your Story”, the feature is unlike any customisation service before it, with Ray-Ban tapping into current technologies to offer the same unmatched quality and construction of Ray-Ban REMIX, just with an extra layer of personalised fashion.

The process is rather simple. You log-in, choose the classic black Ray-Ban New Wayfarer frames and then choose either your Instagram or Facebook. Ray-Ban REMIX then takes care of the rest, breaking down the feed into a pattern that will be seamlessly turned into the sunglasses’ temples and sending you the new pair within the week.
