UberEATS will deliver candy and last minute Halloween costumes around Australia today

In a bizarre but super convenient promotion for Halloween, UberEATS will be helping their customers, both old and new, get involved in the ghoulish celebrations by offering “trick or treat” packs in collaboration with M&M’s. Today anyone in the UberEATS cities of Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney will be able to open up the app and tell a driver to fang it on over to them with a bag of treat-sized chocolates (we’re making the educated guess that M&M’s will be in there among other things) and a Halloween costume, seemingly picked at random or from a selection via the app.... UberEATS are delivering free smashed avo around Australia this weekend

UberEATS seem to understand that torn feeling millennials now have to choose between saving for their very first home and tucking into a fund-draining, home-destroying smashed avo breakfast. The food delivery service, which recently launched all across the country is but the latest to weigh in on the #SmashedAvo debate that was sparked earlier this week when commentator Bernald Salt claimed that overpriced smashed avo dishes were preventing young people from saving for a home. ... UberEATS has now launched in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth

As of today, Uber’s food delivery service UberEATS has officially spread throughout Australia. After launching in Melbourne earlier this year, and Sydney a few months later, UberEATS emerged as a fierce competitor on the local food delivery circuit, providing a service powered by and connected to Uber’s official smartphone app that allows users to order food and drink from some of the best restaurants in that city for an estimated delivery time of 10 minutes of less. It has proven to be a popular method of exploring each city’s rich food scenes, with the convenience that has made Uber a household name over the years. ... Read More | Share it now!

Arnott’s to bring back the original Pizza Shapes in response to backlash

Earlier this year Arnott’s did something very, very bad and ill-advised, inexplicably announcing that they’ll be taking the “if it ain’t broke, break it” approach by changing the recipe for their Shapes range. This unsurprisingly led to frustration and outrage, being that one of the country’s most loved snacks had been completely flipped upside down with new seasoning, seemingly to improve the range’s health rating (which probably works by making you not wanting to eat them at all). Negative feedback forced the brand to backflip on a few flavours eventually – particularly the much-loved BBQ – but the majority of Shapes flavours stuck to the new recipe.... Golden Gaynetto: Streets launch Golden Gaytime and Cornetto hybrid ice cream

Sometimes dreams become a reality. Streets Ice Cream have a good history of actually listening to their consumers and actually paying attention to creative requests and unique ideas. One such idea is to create the love child of the brand’s beloved Golden Gaytime and Cornetto, appropriately named the Golden Gaynetto. It was a piece of ice cream fan fiction that seemed like a distant fantasy, coming from ardent Sydney-based dessert fan and non-cape-wearing hero Jesse James McElroy, who famously convinced Streets to introduce 1.25L tubs of Golden Gaytime, which they did just over a year ago....
