You can now get Golden Gaytime milkshakes and doughnuts in Australia

OTT dessert drinks are here to stay, get used to it. Those who embrace the trend have been one-upping each other for awhile now, and legendary queue magnet Burgers By Josh may have just won the game by introducing an alcoholic Golden Gaytime milkshake to the burger joint’s menu at The Annandale. Though a spiked honeycomb ice cream shake should be enough to satisfy those constantly seeking out anything to do with Streets’ sought after creation, the milkshake isn’t quite the end of the story; Doughnut Time have also announced that they are doing limited edition Golden Gaytime Doughnuts from this weekend.... Arnott’s to bring back the original Pizza Shapes in response to backlash

Earlier this year Arnott’s did something very, very bad and ill-advised, inexplicably announcing that they’ll be taking the “if it ain’t broke, break it” approach by changing the recipe for their Shapes range. This unsurprisingly led to frustration and outrage, being that one of the country’s most loved snacks had been completely flipped upside down with new seasoning, seemingly to improve the range’s health rating (which probably works by making you not wanting to eat them at all). Negative feedback forced the brand to backflip on a few flavours eventually – particularly the much-loved BBQ – but the majority of Shapes flavours stuck to the new recipe.... Golden Gaynetto: Streets launch Golden Gaytime and Cornetto hybrid ice cream

Sometimes dreams become a reality. Streets Ice Cream have a good history of actually listening to their consumers and actually paying attention to creative requests and unique ideas. One such idea is to create the love child of the brand’s beloved Golden Gaytime and Cornetto, appropriately named the Golden Gaynetto. It was a piece of ice cream fan fiction that seemed like a distant fantasy, coming from ardent Sydney-based dessert fan and non-cape-wearing hero Jesse James McElroy, who famously convinced Streets to introduce 1.25L tubs of Golden Gaytime, which they did just over a year ago.... Holey Moley Golf Club is Fortitude Valley’s new cocktail bar and mini golf course (Brisbane)

A bar where you can down a cocktail named Tee Quila Mocking Birdie and then sink a hole in one on a mini-golf course. Sounds like a distant fantasy right? Wrong. The old church located at 25 Warner Street in Fortitude Valley – the one that has seen many a trashy pop-up club in the past – is about to welcome new tenant Holey Moley Golf Club at the end of next month, a new concept by the minds behind Strike Bowling which combines a retro cocktail bar with two different nine-hole mini golf courses with a whole bunch of inspiration from surf culture, retro video games, and even pop culture touchstones like Alice in Wonderland and Game of Thrones thrown in for good measure. ... From multi-million dollar yachts to kittens: the Garage Sale Trail is back for its sixth year

From a modest start to what is now a heavily anticipated national program, the Garage Sale Trail returns to Australia each October to encourage local communities to engage with and host good ol’ fashioned garage sales, and we aren’t just talking dusty old books and fur coats. On October 22nd, registered garage sales across the country will form one large, synchronised treasure hunt with people selling off their wares – big or small – or offering up some unconventional goods, like adoptable kittens, or multi-million dollar yachts (someone has legit registered the huge yacht that was used in Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby for sale this year)....
